With millions of people on the web from all over the world, why does it still suck? There are so many things that need to be improved, but I will go into one example here.
Have you ever tried shopping for sunglasses, watches, jewelry or belts online? There is almost NEVER a picture of these items on a human model. I can't tell from the pics if the sunglasses i like will cover my whole face, that the belt I want will be too thick for my pants loops or if the new watch my husband wants is hipster sized. I especially can't stand looking at earrings online. They look gorgeous, full of detail, and when they arrive at your door they look so miniscule, they could be earrings for Barbie. Seeing these items on HUMANS would cause a LOT less confusion/returns/
exchanges.
Oh but the web pages give you specs of the items! Sure, I want to get out my ruler so I can measure the width and diameter of earrings, and compare them to the width/diameter of my current ones. NOT helpful.
The only solution to this is to go into stores, view the item in person and then order online. But some things are ONLY available online. Please, retailers/manufacturers, take note. How hard would it be to take 2 pictures? One of the item, with detail, and another on a living being.
